Residents of Igbooye community in Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) are set to benefit from a new health centre and modern water facility, following a commitment by the LCDA Chairman, Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye.

EpeInsights reports that Akinloye made the pledge during a visit to the palace of the Orijeru of Igbooye, Oba Abdulrasaq Musa, as part of his post-primary election engagement tour with traditional rulers.

During the visit, Oba Musa emphasized the urgent need for a health facility to serve the community, citing the difficulty many residents face in accessing timely medical care.

“Our people deserve access to quality healthcare. We need a health centre here in Igbooye to help during emergencies and reduce suffering,” the monarch said.

In response, Akinloye assured the community that the health centre project would be implemented as part of his administration’s healthcare development agenda.

“I have heard Kabiyesi’s request, and I assure you that we will build a functional health centre for the people of Igbooye,” the chairman said.

In addition to the healthcare commitment, Akinloye announced that Igbooye would be one of the next beneficiaries of the ten modern water systems earmarked for Eredo LCDA. A similar facility was recently completed in the Odoragunshin community.

“Igbooye is next. We are working to ensure that every major community enjoys access to clean and safe water,” he added.

The monarch welcomed the Chairman’s assurance, expressing confidence in his track record of delivering on promises.

“I have always known Hon. Akinloye to be truthful. When he makes a promise, it is as good as done. We thank him for remembering us once again,” said Oba Musa.

Chairman Akinloye concluded the visit by encouraging community leaders to maintain open lines of communication with his office.

“My doors are always open for the good of our people. Kabiyesi, please don’t hesitate to reach out whenever support is needed,” he said.

The commitment is part of a broader initiative by the Eredo LCDA leadership to expand essential services and improve quality of life across rural and peri-urban areas of the local council.Eredo LCDA Chairman Pledges Health Centre, Water Facility for Igbooye Community Eredo LCDA Chairman Pledges Health Centre, Water Facility for Igbooye Community
