The Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has launched a major infrastructure upgrade project, including the reconstruction of Odogbawojo Road, rehabilitation of drainage systems, and installation of solar-powered street lights to improve community safety and transportation.

EpeInsights reports that the project, which extends from Scratch Entrance off the Ijebu-Ode/Epe Expressway to Prince Seriki Aliu Junction in Ward K1, spans approximately 700 metres in length and 10 metres in width.

During an inspection visit, Chairman of Eredo LCDA, Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, said the initiative is part of his administration’s continuous efforts to enhance road accessibility, reduce flooding, and promote business and community development.

“The reconstruction of Odogbawojo Road is part of our long-term vision to improve road infrastructure, ensure public safety, and create a conducive environment for socio-economic growth,” Akinloye stated.

Residents expressed their appreciation, describing the project as a long-awaited intervention that would ease transportation challenges and mitigate recurrent flooding in the area.

Hon. Akinloye assured that his administration will continue to prioritize infrastructure renewal and community welfare, pledging that “no ward will be left behind in our development drive.”

The ongoing works in Eredo LCDA are part of the council’s broader agenda to strengthen grassroots governance and enhance the quality of life for residents.
