Eredo Council Chairman Hon. Akinloye Embarks on Royal Appreciation Tour, Receives Backing for Second Term

The Executive Chairman of Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Lagos State, Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, has embarked on a royal appreciation tour to traditional rulers within the LCDA, as he builds momentum for his second-term bid.

EpeInsights gathered that Akinloye visited six monarchs across the council area, expressing gratitude for their prayers, support, and endorsement during his first term and recent primary election victory.

The visits also served as an avenue to introduce newly elected councillors to the royal fathers and canvass support for ongoing voter registration efforts.

The tour included stops at the palaces of; Oba Adebowale Sulaimon (Omola of Odomola), Oba Musiliu Abiola Oliwo (Aladepekun of Odo-Egiri), Oba Babatunde Ogunlaja JP (Aladeshonyin of Odo-Noforija), Oba Adelani Adeniyi (Onigbaojo of Odo-Gbaojo), Oba Abdulrasaq Musa (Orijeru of Igbooye) and Oba Kolawole Aliru (Alade-Uraka of Poka)

Each traditional ruler praised the chairman for what they described as his responsive, people-centered leadership, citing road construction, youth empowerment, and community development as standout achievements.

“You have led with humility and integrity, and the people of Odomola have felt your impact,” said Oba Adebowale Sulaimon.

Other monarchs echoed similar sentiments as Oba Musiliu Abiola Oliwo lauded Akinloye’s infrastructural efforts, while Oba Ogunlaja commended his inclusive governance and respect for traditional institutions.

Oba Musa of Igbooye also emphasized the chairman’s fulfillment of campaign promises, describing him as a man of his word.

The council boss used the opportunity to remind residents of the upcoming voter registration exercise set to begin Tuesday, May 27, urging the monarchs to mobilize their communities to participate.

“Civic participation is essential to shaping our future. As leaders, we must work together to ensure our people are not left behind,” Akinloye said.

The monarchs in turn offered prayers for his continued success and encouraged the councillors to uphold principles of integrity and public service, urging them to emulate Akinloye’s leadership style.Eredo Council Chairman Hon.
