Former Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, has received a significant boost for a potential return to office, as key political and community figures in the Epe Division formally endorsed his candidacy for the 2027 gubernatorial election.

EpeInsights reports that during a consultative gathering in Epe, the Epe Division Stakeholders Forum called on residents across all senatorial zones of the state to unite in support of Ambode, citing his record of integrity, inclusive governance, and infrastructural development during his tenure from 2015 to 2019.

“Ambode is a visionary leader whose developmental strides across Lagos still speak volumes,” said Mr. Adewale Kazeem, Coordinator of the Forum.

“His governance style was people-centered, transparent, and efficient. Lagos deserves that kind of leadership again.”

Kazeem emphasized Ambode’s impact on infrastructure, public service reform, and grassroots inclusion, particularly noting projects executed in the Epe region.

The Forum also expressed its full backing for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to seek a second term, applauding his administration’s ongoing economic and infrastructure reforms.

“Tinubu’s second term will be pivotal to consolidating the economic gains already underway,” Kazeem noted. “We urge Nigerians to give him the mandate to finish what he has started.”

The Epe Division Stakeholders Forum announced plans to begin a state-wide mobilization campaign in the coming months, promising a people-focused and inclusive political movement aimed at reshaping Lagos State’s future.
