Epe Local Government Area, led by Hon. Princess Surah Animashaun, FHTI, has announced a new partnership with the Pearls Specialist Foundation to provide free to subsidized fibroid surgeries for women in the community.
EpeInsights reports that this groundbreaking initiative aims to alleviate the burden of fibroid-related health issues by offering safe, high-quality surgical care without imposing financial strain on affected women.
Fibroids, which are non-cancerous growths in the uterus, can cause significant pain, heavy bleeding and other complications, impacting the quality of life for many women.
Women interested in benefiting from this program are invited to attend a medical screening session to determine their eligibility for surgery.
The event will hold on Monday, June 16, 2025 by 9:00 AM prompt at the Epe Primary Health Care Centre.
Qualified candidates will receive surgery either completely free or at a substantially reduced cost, depending on their medical needs and financial circumstances.
This initiative reflects Epe Local Government’s dedication to inclusive and people-centered healthcare, ensuring that vulnerable populations have access to essential medical treatments.
