As the clock ticks closer to the July 12 Local Government elections in Lagos State, the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. Princess Surah Animashaun, has reiterated her administration’s commitment to people-focused governance and grassroots development.
EpeInsights reports that in a goodwill message to mark the beginning of July, Hon. Animashaun extended warm wishes to the people of Epe and the diaspora, describing the new month as a moment to “recommit ourselves to the shared vision of a Greater Epe.”
With her re-election campaign in full swing, the Chairman used the message to restate her administration’s key priorities: inclusive development, enhanced service delivery, community empowerment, and sustained peace.
She assured constituents that the strides made in the first term would be consolidated and expanded if given the mandate for another term.
“Our administration remains steadfast in its commitment to impactful governance,” she said.
“We will continue to pursue people-centered projects, enhance public service delivery, and deepen our engagement with the grassroots to ensure no one is left behind.”
Hon. Animashaun’s tenure has been marked by youth and women empowerment initiatives, improvement of local infrastructure, and enhanced health and educational services.
Her leadership has also received praise for transparency and consistent community engagement.
As the July 12 polls approach, political observers say the message reflects both a campaign tone and a call for unity among residents. Her appeal to “stand together in love, unity and mutual respect” signals a continued emphasis on peaceful participation in the democratic process.
Epe Local Government, a key political bloc in Lagos East Senatorial District, is expected to be a stronghold for the All Progressives Congress (APC), with Animashaun seeking a second term under the party’s platform.
With just 10 days to go, voters will decide whether to renew the mandate of a leader many describe as accessible, responsive, and development-focused.
