In celebration of this year’s Children’s Day, the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. Princess Surah Animashaun, has extended warm wishes to children in Epe and beyond.
EpeInsights reports that the Chairman described them as the “living dreams of our ancestors and the architects of tomorrow’s greatness.”
In a heartfelt message released on Tuesday, Animashaun praised the resilience, creativity, and promise of children, highlighting their central role in shaping the future of Epe and Nigeria at large.
“Our children are the hope of tomorrow,” she stated.
“Their laughter brightens our communities, their questions challenge our perspectives, and their dreams inspire our collective progress.”
Reaffirming her administration’s commitment to child welfare, the council boss pledged to continue investing in policies and programs that ensure children have access to quality education, healthcare, protection, and opportunities for growth.
She also called on parents, educators, community leaders, and stakeholders to recommit to supporting children with love, discipline, and vision.
“May they grow into responsible citizens who lead with empathy, courage, and integrity,” Animashaun added.
Addressing the children directly, she encouraged them to keep dreaming and believing in their abilities, assuring them that the future is theirs to shape.
The message comes as part of activities marking Children’s Day across Nigeria, a day set aside to celebrate and reflect on the rights and welfare of children.
