The Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. Princess Surah Animashaun, FHTI, has paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Olu Epe of Epe Kingdom, Oba (Dr.) Shefiu Adewale Olatunji Bamgbopa, Eshilokun I, who passed away recently.

EpeInsights learnt that Hon. Animashaun visited the royal residence on Ajilogba Street on Thursday, where she met with Olori Aribike Adewale, widow of the late monarch, and other members of the Bamgbopa royal family.

The visit was a solemn occasion marked by prayers, tributes, and moments of reflection on the life and legacy of the revered traditional ruler.

Describing Oba Bamgbopa as “a father to all, a beacon of royal dignity, and a monarch who served with distinction and uncommon humility,” the council chairman extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and the entire Epe community.

“The late Oba Adewale was more than a traditional ruler; he was a symbol of continuity, peace and wisdom in our land,” Hon. Animashaun said.

“His passing leaves a vacuum that will be difficult to fill. We will continue to uphold his legacy and support the royal family during this period of transition.”

A native of Epe and a staunch promoter of its traditions, Hon. Animashaun emphasized the importance of preserving the values and heritage championed by the late monarch.
