The Executive Chairman of Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), has officially received his Certificate of Office from the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, following a successful swearing-in ceremony held on Sunday, July 27, 2025.
EpeInsights reports that the event, which took place at the Lagos State Government House, Alausa, was attended by top government officials, party leaders, traditional rulers, and supporters.
It marked the formal assumption of office for the Chairmen of all 20 Local Government Areas (LGAs) and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) across the state.
Governor Sanwo-Olu, while presenting the certificates, urged the newly sworn-in council chairmen to embrace transparency, accountability and people-oriented governance.
He emphasized the critical role of local government in addressing the day-to-day needs of citizens and sustaining the administration’s development agenda at the grassroots.
Engr. Kasali, a certified engineer and two-time council administrator, expressed gratitude to the people of Lekki for their trust and support.
His re-election is seen by many as a reflection of his track record in infrastructure development, youth empowerment, and public service delivery.
Speaking shortly after receiving his certificate, the Chairman reaffirmed his commitment to deepening progress and innovation in Lekki LCDA:
“This certificate is not just a symbol of office, it is a renewed mandate to serve. I remain dedicated to improving the quality of life for all residents and making Lekki a model for responsive and inclusive governance.”
With the formal swearing-in now complete, Engr. Kasali is set to begin his new term with a focus on consolidating existing projects and introducing new initiatives to meet the growing needs of the fast-developing council area.
