The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, has commended the Alara of Ilara Kingdom, Oba (Dr.) Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo (Telade IV), on the celebration of his 5th coronation anniversary, praising his reign for fostering peace, unity, and development.
EpeInsights reports that the Emir while speaking at the anniversary event in Ilara, described Oba Ogunsanwo as more than a fellow monarch referring to him as a “brother in royalty” and expressed admiration for the Alara’s leadership and dedication to community upliftment.
“Alara is my brother, I rejoice with him and his people on this special occasion. His reign has brought visible growth and harmony to Ilara, and I pray that Almighty Allah grants him long life, good health, wisdom, and continued success.” The Emir said.
The Emir further emphasized the importance of collaboration among traditional rulers from different regions of Nigeria, stating that the bond between northern and southern palaces serves as a powerful symbol of national cohesion and cultural harmony.
“Our unity as traditional institutions from the North and the South is a reflection of the kind of Nigeria we all desire, one family, one nation, under God,” he added.
He concluded his remarks with prayers for peace, prosperity and continued progress for the Alara, the royal household and the people of Ilara Kingdom.
The event attracted dignitaries, royal fathers, and government officials from across the country, marking a significant milestone in the Alara’s five-year reign.
