The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Ibeju-Lekki Chapter, have congratulated the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, on his successful re-election, describing his victory at the recently concluded local government polls as well-deserved.
EpeInsights reports that leaders of the Christian bodies paid a courtesy visit to the council secretariat on Tuesday to celebrate with the Chairman and reaffirm their commitment to maintaining a strong working relationship with his administration throughout his second tenure.
Hon. Olowa, in his response, expressed deep appreciation to the delegation for their visit and continued support. He acknowledged the spiritual backing he has enjoyed from the Christian community and urged them to keep praying for the success of leaders at all levels of government.
“I am humbled by your show of love and support. Your prayers and encouragement mean a lot, and I assure you that I remain committed to serving humanity and taking Ibeju-Lekki to greater heights,” Olowa stated.
During the visit, the Christian bodies presented a congratulatory letter to Hon. Olowa, in which they praised his leadership style, describing him as a true servant-leader. They referenced Jeremiah 29:11, praying that his tenure would fulfill God’s purpose and end in success.
The delegation was led by Rev. Mathew Joseph Ameh, Chairman of CAN Ibeju-Lekki, who also presented a gift to the Executive Chairman. Rev. Dr. Timothy Agbonjimi delivered the vote of thanks, while Rev. Dr. Andrew Oladepo led a special prayer session for the Chairman and the progress of the local government.
The visit marked a renewed affirmation of partnership between the local government and the Christian community in promoting peace, development, and inclusive governance.
