Bogije Primary School Upgrade: Perimeter Fence Construction in Steady Progress

Work is steadily progressing on the construction of a new perimeter fence at Bogije Primary School, an initiative undertaken by the Ibeju-Lekki Local Government under the leadership of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen safety and infrastructure in public schools across the area.

EpeInsights reports that during an inspection visit to the project site, Hon. Olowa observed construction workers actively engaged in laying fence blocks, setting pillars, and aligning sections of the boundary wall — clear indicators of consistent progress and focused implementation.

The perimeter fencing project forms a key component of the council’s SHIEELD Agenda, which prioritizes Safety, Health, Infrastructure, Education, Empowerment, Leadership, and Development as pillars for sustainable community growth.

According to the council’s media office, the new fence is not only designed to enhance security within the school premises but also to prepare the ground for broader rehabilitation works aimed at improving the overall learning environment for both pupils and teachers.

Hon. Olowa reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to creating safe and conducive learning spaces for children in Ibeju-Lekki, noting that educational development remains one of the strongest focuses of his government.

“Our schools must be safe and well-equipped for effective teaching and learning. What we are doing here at Bogije is part of a larger plan to ensure that every child in Ibeju-Lekki learns in a secure and enabling environment,” the Chairman stated.

Community members and school staff have expressed appreciation to the council for the initiative, describing it as a welcome step toward improving the school’s infrastructure and ensuring the safety of pupils during school hours.

The Bogije Primary School upgrade project adds to the growing list of infrastructural interventions by the Olowa-led administration, demonstrating a clear commitment to the council’s vision of inclusive development and improved public service delivery.
