The Lagos State All Progressives Congress (APC) Reconciliation Committee, led by Dr. Lateef Ibirogba, held a strategic meeting at the Epe Local Government Secretariat on Friday, addressing lingering tensions following the recent APC Chairmanship Primaries.

EpeInsights reports that the session brought together stakeholders and aspirants from Epe Local Government Area, Eredo LCDA, and Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, offering a platform for open dialogue and healing within the party ranks after the Chairmanship Primaries.

Speaking against the backdrop of the Eid al-Adha celebration, Dr. Ibirogba began with a note of gratitude, describing the moment as “calm, reflective, and brimming with faith.”

He then delivered a message from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging members to remain calm, united, and trusting in divine timing.

“God’s timing is perfect, and no one will be overlooked on this journey,” he assured.

Several aspirants used the opportunity to share their grievances, citing unmet expectations and a deep desire to contribute to Epe’s progress.

One aspirant described being “disheartened by unmet assurances,” while another expressed “a burning desire to serve and make a difference.”

Dr. Ibirogba empathized with the aspirants’ frustrations, but called for collective patience and continued faith in the process.

“True rewards come from the Almighty, not human promises,” he said. “And let us not forget—federal appointments are still pending. There is still room for recognition and service.”

Addressing local government leaders, Princess Surah Animashaun (Epe LG), Hon. Monsuru Akinloye (Eredo LCDA), and Hon. Wale Raji Anomo (Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA) Dr. Ibirogba emphasized the need for humility, openness, and inclusive governance.

“Your leadership must be people-oriented. Serve as bridges between the grassroots and the party structure. That’s how we grow stronger together,” he charged.

The reconciliation meeting ended on a hopeful note, with participants exchanging warm handshakes and recommitting themselves to the party’s shared goals.APC Reconciliation Committee Seeks to Heal Wounds from Chairmanship Primaries in Epe Division

There was consensus that unity within the APC is non-negotiable for meaningful development across Epe Division.

As the APC continues to navigate internal dynamics ahead of future political contests, the Reconciliation Committee’s visit signals the party’s resolve to strengthen internal democracy and foster trust among members.

“We may have different roles, but our destination is the same—a stronger, more united APC for a better Epe,” Dr. Ibirogba concluded.
