In a heartwarming show of unity and appreciation, the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, alongside his Vice Chairman, Alhaji Wasiu Oluwole Dehinsilu, led APC Councillorship candidates on a series of thank-you visits to key political leaders in Epe Division.
EpeInsights learnt that the tour was part of a post-primaries outreach to express gratitude and strengthen the party’s grassroots ties ahead of the local council polls.
The delegation kicked off their thank-you tour at the residence of Alhaji Shakiru Akanni Seriki (fondly known as BAMU), the Apaase of Epe Land and a respected member of the Lagos State Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC).
The atmosphere was warm and familial, with the candidates offering heartfelt thanks for BAMU’s steady leadership, mentorship, and enduring support for the development of Ikosi-Ejinrin and the wider Epe Division.
Also present was former Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA Chairman, Hon. Adesegun Adetola, who encouraged the candidates to remain focused and committed to service.
The candidates, in turn, pledged their loyalty to the APC and reiterated their dedication to people-driven governance.
The team then visited the Lagos State House of Assembly to meet Hon. Sylvester Ogunkelu, popularly known as Hon. Sketel, who represents Epe Constituency II.
He welcomed the candidates warmly, praising their humility and encouraging them to deliver on the promises of democracy. Hon. Ogunkelu reminded them that politics must remain rooted in service and accountability to the people.
The final leg of the thank-you tour took the group to the office of the Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Hon. Tokunbo Wahab (TKW), an illustrious son of Ikosi-Ejinrin.
Hon. Wahab was visibly pleased to receive the delegation and applauded their unity and readiness to serve. He offered prayers for their success and urged them to uphold the values of integrity, compassion, and dedication to the party and the people.
At every stop, the message from the candidates was consistent: a strong commitment to responsible leadership, genuine service, and unflinching loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The thank-you visits not only reinforced party unity but also reaffirmed the candidates’ shared vision of grassroots development and inclusive governance.
