President and Founder of the Eleniyancares Leadership Foundation, Honorable Segun Olulade Eleniyan, has made a compelling case for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s return to office in 2027, citing significant achievements across multiple sectors during his current administration.

EpeInsights reports that in a detailed statement, Eleniyan urged Nigerians to reconsider the usual narrative surrounding President Tinubu, emphasizing that rather than being ousted, Tinubu deserves to continue his leadership journey.

According to him, the president has delivered tangible progress that many previous administrations failed to achieve.

Eleniyan pointed to education as a key area of improvement under Tinubu’s leadership. For the first time in recent history, Nigerian public universities have remained open for two consecutive academic years without a single strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

This stability has rekindled hope among students and parents alike, reversing a long-standing trend of disruptions in higher education.

Moreover, the administration’s direct financial support to students, bypassing ineffective youth empowerment programs, was hailed as a bold and effective approach that places resources directly in the hands of the beneficiaries.

Highlighting the country’s chronic power challenges, Eleniyan noted that Tinubu’s administration has added 1,500 megawatts of electricity to the national grid within two years.

This increase is credited with improving electricity supply, especially in rural communities, which have started receiving reliable power for the first time in decades.

Additionally, 22 federal universities have been connected to solar power, reducing their dependence on erratic grid supply and diesel generators.

One of the flagship projects credited to the current government is the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway.

This ambitious trillion-naira project aims to connect nine states, boosting regional trade, tourism, and economic growth.

Eleniyan commended President Tinubu for taking on this challenging project, which previous administrations reportedly avoided.

The Eleniyancares president also praised the administration’s support for Nigerian sports, specifically the Super Falcons, who recently won the Women’s African Cup of Nations.

Unlike past governments, Tinubu’s administration gave the team the grandest reception in the country’s history, promoting national unity and inspiring the youth.

Eleniyan contrasted Tinubu’s achievements with what he described as the “elite patriotism” of opposition figures. He cited former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and politician Datti Baba-Ahmed, who reportedly send their children abroad for education despite owning Nigerian universities.

He also criticized Peter Obi for his reliance on imported goods while Tinubu’s government is investing in agro-processing zones to boost local production.

Furthermore, Eleniyan accused opposition leaders like Obi and Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai of inciting tensions through divisive rhetoric, contrasting this with Tinubu’s continuous calls for unity.

Backing his claims with economic data, Eleniyan highlighted the following accomplishments under Tinubu’s administration:

  • GDP growth projected at 3.4% in 2024, the second-highest in a decade
  • Over $40 billion in new foreign and local investments
  • Doubling of the Nigerian stock market
  • Elimination of reckless borrowing practices
  • Removal of the fuel subsidy
  • Clearance of foreign exchange backlogs
  • Repayment of $7 billion debt to foreign investors
  • Halving of the national budget deficit
  • Improved financial management by states, reducing dependence on federal bailouts

Eleniyan concluded by stating that while critics and opposition members continue to create noise and skepticism, the reality on the ground shows a Nigeria under reconstruction and positive transformation.

He called on Nigerians to support Tinubu’s return to office in 2027 to continue this trajectory of progress.

“While the noise merchants sell hashtags and heartbreak, Tinubu delivers results,” he said.

“Nigeria is finally being rebuilt and it’s paining those who have profited from its brokenness. So yes, Tinubu must go… back to Aso Rock.”Why President Tinubu Must Return to Lead Nigeria in 2027, Says Eleniyancares Foundation President
